Putting together our baby registry was a labor of love. While it made my little bump feel more like a baby, I was clueless about what I needed. There were thousands of products to choose from. Did I need the natural flow or fast flow bottles? BPA-free? And what is colic? There was so much to learn. Sure enough, when the baby arrived I was in desperate need of some things I had not registered for, but suddenly could not live without. While Amazon prime was fast, I regretted not buying these prior to our little loves birth day. There were so many tears those first few weeks I would have flown to the moon and back if it would have made him feel more comfortable. Here is my list of must-haves for less stress and more snuggles for bringing home your baby.
Baby wipe warmer (1): A wipe warmer may seem like a luxury item, but in our house I quickly found out it was not. The cold wipes caused so many tears from the little one. I guess it makes sense. I don’t particularly like being striped naked and wiped with a cold wash cloth either (please, no!)
Pacifier (2): For soothing the little one in the early days.
Car seat cover (3): I worried about my newborn being exposed to harmful sun rays, but I didn’t want to stay in the house all day. We use this for the car, but also for the stroller when we take walks.
Drying rack (4): If you’re planning on introducing a bottle or using a breast pump you’ll be doing a lot of washing and drying.
Boppy infant lounger (5): The Boppy infant lounger is probably the product we use the most. It is lightweight so we can bring it outside, in the living room or even to the kitchen.
Pajamas (6): Let’s be honest. I wasn’t doing a lot of dressing baby up in those sleep deprived early days. Soft, warm pajamas are a must.
Solly baby wrap (7): The little one loves to be close to Mom’s chest as if he is still in the womb. We found wrapping him helped during his fussy times or even to get him a nap when we were out and about.
Activity gym (8): Our little guy loved the activity gym right away. This gave me a safe place to let him play while I would get dressed or change the laundry.
Sleep sack (9): I was terrified about sleep safety so I didn’t want to put lose blankets in his crib. When I asked my pediatrician how to keep him warm she recommended these sleep sacks.
Safety 1st baby bundle (10): Newborns are fragile little creatures. Everyone needs a first-aid kid.
